Nursery News ...

Lakehouse and Stationhouse Nurseries are really proud to have been able to remain open to support our key worker parents during this unprecedented time. Running this service from Stationhouse Nursery with a fantastically dedicated team enabled us to understand first hand how to provide a calm, but fun space for our children.

Covid Adaptations (More detail can be found in our Operational Plan and Risk Assessments)

  • Virtual show arounds
  • Drop off and pick up at the nursery doors
  • Enhanced daily Cleaning
  • Weekly Anti-Viral Fogging
  • Face masks worn by parents/guardians at transitions
  • Virtual parent meetings where possible
  • Virtual staff meetings and training
  • Age group ‘bubble families’ so children can play freely, without the need for hazard tape and constant reminders
  • No agency staff
  • Lots of time outside – thank goodness for our large gardens.

We really believe that when choosing a nursery for your precious little one, it is best to visit in person to view the environment, and observe staff and children’s interactions through your own eyes. However due to Coronavirus, we need to reduce the number of adults entering the nursery to ensure the safety of our team and the children in our care and therefore we are unable to book show arounds at this time. To help give you an idea of our approach and our environment, we have recorded a virtual tour of nursery, we would encourage you to watch this video and then give us a call to talk things through. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOyxQroHthRBDIh0BVOKHIQ/videos

We also post regularly on our nursery Instagram pages @stationhousenursery4 and @lakehousenursery18 which will also give you a flavour of us.

Queuing in the lovely sunshine at drop off and pick up is one thing, but when it’s cold and wet – ouch. I promise that our processes are constantly reviewed and we are doing everything we can to make them as smooth, pragmatic and efficient as possible.

Some good news in these trying times……..we have frozen our fees so we won’t be implementing our annual fee increase in January.

We do have some vacancies for a 2021 start, so please give Emma a call on 01275 398787 and she can answer any questions you may have.

We hope you and your family are safe and well and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
